What is Noodl?
Noodl is a 'low-code' visual app builder. It lets you build React style web apps in a visual editor, which are then compiled to React in the user's browser. You can add your own Javascript to the visual elements. Noodl went open source in 2023 and is now maintained by several forks.
How do I get started?
Download the Noodl editor to your PC or Mac. The original Noodl editor is deprecated. You can choose between OpenNoodl and FluxScape, the two main forks continuing Noodl's work. You'll find the download links in the Readme file of each repository.
How do I learn Noodl?
There are various resources to help you get started. We recommend signing up for the free starter pack, as it will give you the most comprehensive guide to getting started. You should equally check out our beginner tutorial series, and the various Discord communities where you can get support.
How do I get a back end?

Module 1: Setup
In this module, we'll look at the different options for setting up the Noodl editor (OpenNoodl and FluxScape). We'll learn how Noodl creates projects on your local machine and some other key facts about this low-code editor.
Module 2: Visual basics
In this module, we'll learn how the different visual nodes in Noodl work and what you can do with them. We'll also look at styling, fonts and media storage in your project folder.
Module 3: Logic basics
In this module, we'll learn how logic nodes can be used to bring your app to life. We'll also look at how some very basic Javascript can super-charge your app development.
Module 4: Back end basics
In this module, we'll learn how to set up the standard Noodl integrated back end, as well as looking at some other options like Supabase and Directus and how their prefabs help you integrate your front-end project.
Module 5: Backing up
In this module, we'll learn about git. We'll look at setting up git manually, to be able to clone projects and work together with other developers, as well as how to use the Noodl version manager tab in the editor.
Module 6: Deploying
In this module, we'll look at the main options for deploying your Noodl project: AWS, Google Cloud and standard cloud hosted servers, as well as Vercel for easy front end deployment. We'll also look at how to set up a storage bucket if you're using the Noodl Cloud Services back end.
